User Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct should be observed by everyone inside the library premises. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Any activity that violates national or local criminal laws or ordinances
- Damage, defacement, or theft of library or personal property
- Possession, distribution, or use of alcohol
- Possession, distribution, or use of controlled substances
- Use of tobacco products or e-cigarette devices
- Public display of affection
- Profanity, abusive or threatening language or gestures, bullying, or unwanted physical contact
- Unreasonable noise including shouting, loud talking, or disruptive phone conversations
- Soliciting, petitioning, or canvassing within the library or its premises
- Bringing animals inside the library (except service animals if applicable)
- Prolonged sleeping that interferes with others' use of the library
- Improper use of restrooms such as bathing, shaving, or washing hair
- Using electronic devices at a volume that disturbs others
- Leaving children or dependent adults unattended
- Carrying bags inside the library
- Plugging personal devices into library computers
- Installing or uninstalling software on library computers
- A proper dress code must be followed during office hours; clothing must remain decent at all times
